Show weekend can begin before anyone sees a ride. Breakfast from the apartment kitchen, a walk on the beachfront path, then shoes on and out for the day’s plans. Back later for the heated pool, dinner at your own table and the sound of the surf beyond the balcony.
That is the First Avenue version of the Gold Coast Show, returning Friday 27 to Sunday 29 August 2027. The dates are confirmed in the official Gold Coast Show Instagram announcement. The program is still to come, so book the beachfront part of the weekend first.
What 2026 left behind
The 2026 Show brought many people to Broadwater Parklands for a sunny three days. Families moved between showbags, rides, displays and food stalls, with fireworks after the busy afternoons. It was a lively weekend and a good reason to prepare earlier for the next one.
The Show’s own site describes more than 140,000 visitors coming together. For a weekend on that scale, a two- or three-bedroom beachfront apartment is worth arranging in advance.
Keep the family base simple
Every apartment at Viscount faces the ocean. Each has a private balcony, two bathrooms, a full kitchen and an in-apartment laundry. Two-bedroom apartments are 100 square metres and sleep four. Three-bedroom apartments are 120 square metres and sleep six. Interiors vary between individually owned apartments, but every category keeps the group self-contained.
That means breakfast does not depend on the Show opening time and wet clothes do not wait until home. A starter supply of coffee, tea, sugar and milk is provided on arrival; the rest can be bought for the stay.
The heated outdoor pool holds 27°C year-round and has a shallow end for young swimmers. There is a sauna, a rooftop BBQ with an open ocean outlook and a garden BBQ at ground level. The 2 km paved beachfront path runs south towards Broadbeach, giving prams, scooters and early risers somewhere to go before the group sets off.
Do not map Southport yet
The organisers have confirmed the dates, not the 2027 venue or visitor arrangements. Broadwater Parklands has hosted the Show since 2018, so it is the likely location again, but that remains unconfirmed. The grounds are about 6 km north of Viscount. If the event returns there, Florida Gardens G:link station is 500 metres from the door and the tram runs north towards Southport.
Driving is another option once the venue is known. Viscount provides one free on-site parking space per apartment by reservation, with 1.95-metre clearance. Check that before arriving with a roof box or tall vehicle. Official event parking and any extra tram services should be checked through the organiser and Translink closer to August rather than carried over from 2026.
Book the bed, then watch the calendar
Reserve the apartment for 27 to 29 August 2027 while there is time to choose the right number of bedrooms. Return to the official event site when the venue, entry details and program are published. One final check before travelling will settle transport, opening times and weather.
The Show plan can stay loose. The beachfront address does not need to.
