Sat for hours on the balcony just watching whales jump out of the water.

My recent visit, two weeks during September school holidays, was my third visit to Viscount on the Beach. It would have been my fourth except for COVID lockdowns, and it won't be my last. The apartments are clean, modern and spacious, and the location and views are magnificent. I love that it's a small complex, nine floors and only three apartments per floor.

If you're not sure where to book, book Viscount. There are plenty of apartments on the Gold Coast, but Matt and Amber make this spot special. They've created an unmatched atmosphere of ease and comfort. I'm in my late 20s and every time I went through reception I felt like I was saying hello and good morning to my mum. So accommodating and thoughtful to my family, especially with a two year old.

Most comfortable bed I've had in any hotel. Great spot right on the beachfront and apartment spacious. We will definitely come again.

The three bedroom apartment had everything we needed and the location is perfect. Check in and check out was easy and convenient, and Amber made our stay absolutely amazing.

We have stayed here three times for business now, as we work in an event space close by. We love the convenient location, the cleanliness of the apartments, the flexible check-ins and great communication, the view, the bed configurations and the decor, which is a higher standard than the Gold Coast in general.

We were blown away by the gorgeously styled apartment and the breathtaking views from our ground floor location. The service was next level, and Amber, the manager, went above and beyond for the duration of our stay. By far the best location of the seven other accommodations we have stayed at across Surfers.

The view was amazing. The whales showed up every morning.

I have just carried out a deep clean of the air-conditioning systems in several apartments and there was not one apartment that I would not be more than happy to stay in. They were all very clean and tidy, and with great views.

Wonderful location, friendly staff and great amenities. This place is literally absolute beachfront. Very large rooms, perfect for a family with kids, or multiple couples.

We stayed in apartment 13 and it was very clean, spacious, with amazing views and very comfortable beds. The location is absolute beachfront and we would definitely stay there again.

Great location. Bike and walking path takes you in both directions, so we bought coffee from Synergy different each morning. Not far to the flags for swimming, and the view is incredible. We used the rooftop BBQ area twice when family came to visit and it was a wonderful set-up. Drinks fridge, clean BBQ, sink and plenty of seating, all with the best view possible.

Amazing reception staff, location and apartment. The rooftop is incredible, as well as the endless dolphins and whales swimming in the beach beside this apartment.

We had a wonderful family holiday in a 3 bedroom apartment that had both sea and city views from all rooms. Proximity to the beach, quiet, ocean view from our apartment was absolutely beautiful. Bus right out the front and also a short walk to the tram stop at the end of the street.

From start to finish, our stay at the Viscount was superb. With access to the beach and a view that is breathtaking, this ticked all the boxes for us. Amber was an amazing host, always checking in to see how we were getting on and offering advice on local attractions and places to eat.

An incredible location, right on the beach. Balcony was perfect for a coffee in the morning or a wine in the evening. Local surf clubs great for breakfast and the local bowls club was great for a fun family activity. Amber at front desk is in the know with everything in the area.

My friend Sheradyn and I had our yearly August Broadbeach getaway. We stayed a week at Viscount on the Beach and, as usual, it was fabulous. The view is amazing! Amber, Sandra and Tom were all very friendly and helpful. Back again next year.

We were there for a couple of days during the winter break and the place was very good. The apartment was big with 3 bedrooms and very quiet also. Nice view from the beach.

Just spent the best week here. Fantastic 3 bedroom apartment with stunning ocean and beach view. It was absolutely spotless inside and out, and the manager, Amber, couldn't do enough for us. So welcoming. A holiday to remember. We didn't want to leave and will definitely return for further holidays.

Fantastic location, facilities and staff. As close to the beach as you possibly can, unless you're using a tent! The rooftop area is a great space to be.

Brilliant location right on the beachfront and about a 20-minute walk into either the Surfers Paradise or Broadbeach centres. The 3-bedroom apartment was a good size for our family of 5 and onsite undercover parking was handy. The apartment was light and bright with great ocean view. The complex is 9 floors, which is a nice size compared to some of the higher rise options in the area. It was a very laid back and relaxed option for us.

We liked the fact that, being a smaller complex, it was quiet and the facilities weren't overcrowded. Apartment was spacious with an amazing view.

A great place for relaxing to boost your energy. The ocean view was stunning. Well-designed, spacious rooms, fully equipped kitchen and balcony atmosphere overlooking the beach met all our requirements during our stay in this property. The BBQ on the roof was fantastic and so tidy to spend fun hours with family for a lovely meal.

The location is close to the beach and was within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. A most enjoyable, relaxing stay.

Fantastic location. Only a short stroll down the beach to the main Surfers Paradise centre. Great facilities. Easy to access and easy parking. Loved that the car was covered and the lift takes you straight to your floor from the car park. It felt secure and safe. Very clean apartment. It had everything we needed.

Everything! Excellent, friendly customer service on arrival and nothing was a problem throughout our stay. Beautiful ocean views, great beachfront pool, facilities were great – everything you needed. Walking distance to Broadbeach as well as Surfers Paradise, and the light rail. Can't wait to come back!

The location is exactly as described, beachfront with great view, easy access to beach. Layout of the three bedroom apartment was great, with a super comfy leather lounge suite and great air con in each room. The walk-in robe was well appointed.

We had a lovely stay at Viscount on the Beach. Our apartment was clean and the perfect size for 2 adults and 2 children. The pool was heated, which was a bonus when you have young kiddos. There was a rooftop area which had amazing ocean views and BBQ facilities. The property was in the perfect location with a short walk to Surfers.

The views were amazing. There was plenty of space for us. It was short walks to Surfers and to Broadbeach. The kids loved the pool. We were all sad to leave.

Location was ideal, the space this apartment gives was perfect for our family. Easy access to the beach, great view of the pool and so much outdoor seating area. In the middle of Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach, with easy access to the tram line, this apartment couldn't be in a better location.

The apartment was big enough for 6 adults to comfortably stay together. It was close to everything, amazing sea views with whales straight out the front of apartment. Wonderful stay, would definitely stay again!

My whole family enjoyed staying here. The views are fabulous, the apartment was very clean and spacious, and the couple at reception were absolutely delightful and so helpful.
