Family stay, adults-only festival: the two aren’t as hard to combine as they sound. Crafted Beer & Cider Festival turns ten at Kurrawa Park on Saturday 12 September 2026, gates 11 am to 8.30 pm, strictly eighteen-plus with photo ID checked at the door. From First Avenue it’s a walk down the Oceanway and back, not a booking that swallows the day.
Straight down the Oceanway
The park sits on Old Burleigh Road, just past Kurrawa Surf Club, and Kurrawa Beach itself is about 1.2 km south of Viscount, a shorter stretch of the Oceanway than the walk to Broadbeach proper, along the same paved, lit, road-free path that runs from the front door most of the way down the coast. No tram timetable to plan around, no car to park. Leave the kids with whoever’s minding them for the afternoon, or take it in turns with another couple in the group, each on a separate entry. There are no pass-outs once you’re through the gate, so it’s a straight there-and-back, not a day of ducking in and out. It’s flat the whole way too, prams and scooters included, with non-alcoholic pours on offer at the gate for whoever’s pacing themselves before the walk back.
Ten years of pours, one afternoon
The festival is cashless, ID and a card get you through the gate and every stall after it. Prime seating, a brewery meet-and-greet, a lanyard and a wooden tasting paddle come with the Crafted Legends Club upgrade, $105 against general entry from $55. The tap list runs local and interstate, Your Mates Brewing Co and Slipstream Brewing Co among the names pouring, and Beatniks DJs close out the evening. Beer Yoga runs earlier in the day for anyone who wants to earn the first pour, and the Crafted Smokeshow keeps the eating side going with stacked burgers, flavour-packed wings and slow-roasted brisket off the open fire, plus an eating competition for anyone who wants to test themselves. Fry-Yay and Italian Pizzas cover the rest. Current tiers and the full 2026 lineup are on the official site.
Home before the kids notice
Back up the Oceanway, and the pool’s waiting. The heated pool, 27°C year-round, fenced and ocean-facing, is the right kind of quiet after a few hours standing in a crowd. If the day’s turned into a cook-your-own-dinner evening instead, the rooftop BBQ looks straight out over the Pacific, and the kids get a say in which one happens first.
Book the stay
Saturday 12 September 2026. Check-in runs 2 pm to 11 pm, so a late arrival is no trouble, and check-out is by 10 am. A Friday-to-Sunday stay gives the festival its own day in the middle, with a full day either side for the beach and the Oceanway at a family pace.
Check availability and book your stay, or read more about the Superior 3 Bedroom Ocean View (room for the whole group) and the 2 Bedroom Ocean View (the right size for two couples splitting festival duty).
Set times, the final brewery list and ticket tiers land on the official site as September gets closer.
