# Between Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach.

From the front door at 1 First Avenue, the Oceanway runs south to Broadbeach. Paved, sealed, lit at night, lifeguarded by day where the path meets the sand. Walked, scootered, prammed, cycled at all hours. This is the spine of the location.

# Surfers Paradise, the quieter end.

- 01 The Oceanway: A two-kilometre paved beachfront path from the front door south to Broadbeach. Fully sealed, lit at night, no road crossings. Pedestrians, prams, scooters, cyclists, runners.
- 02 Broadbeach, the easy walk: Fifteen minutes south along the Oceanway, no road crossings. The bowls club, the mall, the convention precinct, the Friday markets, restaurants on Surf Parade. Most guests stop bothering with the car.
- 03 Cavill Avenue, the other walk: Twenty minutes north on the Oceanway, the main Surfers Paradise strip. Cafés, restaurants, the tram, the lights at night. Back at the building inside an hour.
- 04 Beyond the strip: Burleigh Head National Park 9 km south for the headland walk and a coffee in the village. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary for the kids. Coolangatta Airport 30 minutes south on the highway.

## Three beaches within reach.

- Surfers Paradise Beach: The front door. Patrolled, broad sand, the swimming flags up most days.
- Kurrawa Beach: Twelve minutes south on the Oceanway. Quieter than the main stretch, lifeguarded most of the year.
- Mermaid Beach: Keep walking the Oceanway south of Broadbeach. Fewer towers, a longer line of sand.
