Viscount apartments come with a full kitchen and two bathrooms, so a night in is always on the table. But two proper dining precincts sit within walking distance of First Avenue, Surfers Paradise to the north, Broadbeach to the south along the Oceanway, and each has enough range to cover a week without repeating a booking.

## Best restaurants in Surfers Paradise

**BMD Northcliffe Surf Lifesaving Club**, 51 Garfield Terrace, runs an award-winning bistro right on the beachfront, open seven days for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's the closest sit-down option to the northern stretch of Surfers, casual and family-friendly, with the surf club outlook doing the heavy lifting.

For something with more altitude, **Horizon Sky Dining** revolves slowly above the Gold Coast Highway atop the Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise tower. It's the same rotating restaurant Gold Coast locals knew for years as Four Winds 360, rebranded after the hotel's refurbishment but still turning, still 360 degrees of coastline while you eat. It trades Thursday to Saturday for lunch and dinner, and Sunday for lunch.

**SkyPoint Bistro + Bar**, sitting atop the Q1 building alongside the SkyPoint observation deck 230m above ground, is the all-day option if you want a drink and a view without booking the full climb experience below it.

If pasta and a casual Italian menu is what the table wants, **Vapiano** trades at Soul Boardwalk on Cavill Avenue, the main strip through the middle of Surfers, not in Broadbeach as some older guides list it.

At a glance:

- **BMD Northcliffe Surf Lifesaving Club** – beachfront bistro, 51 Garfield Terrace, breakfast to dinner, seven days
- **Horizon Sky Dining** – revolving restaurant atop the Crowne Plaza tower, Gold Coast Highway
- **SkyPoint Bistro + Bar** – all-day bistro and bar atop the Q1 building
- **Vapiano** – casual Italian, Soul Boardwalk, Cavill Avenue

## Best restaurants in Broadbeach

Head south along the paved, lit Oceanway and Broadbeach's dining strip opens up. Two more surf clubs anchor it: **Kurrawa Surf Club** on Old Burleigh Road has run since 1958 and now covers a Bar & Bistro, a pizzeria and Tower 28 Café, open seven days. Directly opposite, inside the Oasis Shopping Centre precinct, **Broadbeach Tavern** is the pub-bistro option, with a family dining room and a separate sports bar.

For a proper night out, **Moo Moo The Wine Bar + Grill** is the steakhouse at Broadbeach on the Park, on the Gold Coast Highway opposite The Star casino and the Convention and Exhibition Centre, trading since 2005. Nearby on Queensland Avenue, close to Kurrawa Beach, **Sage** covers steak, seafood and breakfast, historically sharing the address with **Yellowfin Seafood Restaurant**.

Broadbeach also has a purpose-built dining precinct in **Oracle Boulevard**, on Charles Avenue, with a mix of restaurants, bars and cafes under one roof. The **Surf Parade** and **Victoria Avenue** strips run alongside it, cafes on Surf Parade, restaurants around Victoria Park, all within a few minutes of each other on foot.

At a glance:

- **Kurrawa Surf Club** – Bar & Bistro, pizzeria and Tower 28 Café, Old Burleigh Road, open seven days
- **Broadbeach Tavern** – pub bistro with a sports bar, opposite Kurrawa in the Oasis Shopping Centre precinct
- **Moo Moo The Wine Bar + Grill** – steakhouse, Gold Coast Highway opposite The Star casino
- **Sage** – steak, seafood and breakfast, Queensland Avenue near Kurrawa Beach
- **Oracle Boulevard** – multi-venue dining precinct, Charles Avenue
- **Surf Parade & Victoria Avenue** – cafes and restaurants alongside Oracle Boulevard

## Cook in, or walk to it

The kitchen in every Viscount apartment is a full one: oven, stovetop, dishwasher, full-size fridge, kettle and toaster, with a welcome pack of coffee, tea and milk to start. For families with young kids or a big group taking a [Superior 3 Bedroom Ocean View](/broadbeach-accommodation/3-bedroom-superior-ocean-view/index.md) apartment, that means a quiet first night is always an option, then a booking out at Kurrawa or Moo Moo once everyone's settled. See the full kitchen and laundry rundown on [facilities](/stay/facilities/index.md).

## Getting there from First Avenue

Both surf clubs sit directly on the Broadbeach Oceanway that starts at Viscount's southern end, a sealed, lit, two-kilometre path with no road crossings. Kurrawa is the roughly 15-minute walk south that puts you at the Broadbeach strip, Oracle Boulevard, Surf Parade and Victoria Avenue all within a few more minutes. Cavill Avenue and Vapiano sit a 20-minute walk north, or a six-minute stroll instead to the Florida Gardens tram stop for the nights the legs would rather sit down.
